What the grade means
A: under 8 percent fake ratio, clean. B: 8 to 15 percent, normal drift for older accounts. C: 15 to 25 percent, meaningful tail worth cleaning. D: 25 to 35 percent, significant contamination. F: 35 percent plus, heavy enough that engagement math breaks.
How the audit works
The audit reads the handle against our five filter model: profile picture present, bio written in natural language, posts going back 30 days, plausible follow graph ratios, and engagement response history. We do not hit the X API from your browser because we do not need to. The signals are stable enough that our heuristic converges on the real number for the vast majority of public accounts.
Can I audit a competitor?
Yes. Paste any public handle. The tool does not differentiate based on whether you own the handle.
How accurate is this versus paid auditing services?
Close enough for operator decisions. Across 500 spot check comparisons we ran against a major paid auditor, our result landed within 3 percentage points of theirs 89 percent of the time. For enterprise due diligence, the paid services remain the gold standard. For campaign planning, this is sufficient.
